The greatest mental conflict (cognitive dissonance)
to understanding what you are reading will fall away
most quickly by cleansing the consciousness of old
entrenched concepts of your earlier indoctrination.
You must really be seeking those truths that defy
the comfortable route of mutual agreement that supports
your limiting social preferences.

Now you will be able to make the great decision!
Do you wish to be “one of the many?” or
do you wish to become “one of the Few? “
To understand what this is all about, read the Bhagavad
Gita translation by Paramahansa Yogananda entitled
“The Yoga of the Bhagavad Gita”.
or the “Yoga of Jesus”, by the same renowned author.
Specifically where the gospel of Matthew speaks of a “way of the many” in Matthew 7:13-14, where he describes the wide gate and broad road that leads to destruction and that “many” enter through it. This contrasts with the narrow gate and narrow way that leads to life, which “few” find.  
Stop fooling your ego! this does not refer to the size of your
denomination of specific church!
It refers to where you stand in that specific church, temple, or belief system.

Otherwise, anyone can start a new cult of 100 gullible followers and say to the world. “now we are ones of the few, so we are the greater church – better to put your head back in the sand!
If you are still one of the many, you may be very comfortable in the back row with your “blind leading the blind ” friends, but you are clearly one of the “Many”!

On average, it seems that if there are about 100 worshippers in that congregation, you are lucky if 5 of them rank as the few! Now you can finally reread that saying of Jesus again without fooling yourself while pleasing your ego. We are usually indoctrinated into a system that got caught up in “gaining the world while losing the soul of your congregation !
You are most likely not one of the few!

One of the few is a lonely position to hold while truly changing yourself to the true wisdom of what is really required to change yourself while loving the Reality……Brahman !

Step # 1 –LEARNING TO READ, ABSORB AND LISTEN !

To begin with, make a serious decision based on this [or any ] scripture. “wide is the gate and wide is the way that leads to destruction, and most persons and paths will take that way!
Narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life,
[Salvation/ Self-Realization etc] that leads to life, and the few
[very few] will find it.” KJV ,verses ///////////////////////////////////

A simple accurate interpretation ; Wherever you go, your own or any other temple. mosque, church. about 90% of the attendees there will follow blindly the way of the “many.” the way that is popular, fearful, and blind led by the blind, the way of the many is usually comfortable for sheep!

Most persons are lazy and go the popular, easier way. Just so everyone will accept them!
This way is the excitement of changing everyone else to all that which you don’t yet understand.
The way of the few is usually the way of changing yourself, the way of effort in the here and now, which most members fear , yet is leads to salvation and self-realization.
Every person, believer or atheist must make this clear and simple life challenging decision about all things. Which path do you wish to take, do you have the courage to take the higher path?

Do you want to be one of the “few “, or one or the “Many”?
It is the choice in most things we do in life, the common way
of the many is usually low quality and greatly flawed, or even harmful.
Only after much rewarding and revealing effort and honest
searching will you find the better ways in most things in this life! If your church, your culture or your friends tell you that you have the worlds only true way – they will soon discover there is little accuracy or truth in that way.
Popular food , music , medicine etc is mostly low quality! Or even harmful. designed to please your
senses and indoctrinated ego rather than to heal and grow your awareness!

This is an established principle of life in this world!
Do you want noise or peace?
do you want flavors or health?
do you want truth or convenience?
Do you want company or self-realization? etc etc..
this particular scripture is a major decision point of
all devotees, are you striving to become one of the MaNY?
or are you striving to become one of the FEW – the way that the master says leads to LIFE?
It is a very learn 180 degree choice , with this courageous choice you
will end up with more joy, success, light, and life, or you will go to
your own destruction seeking to please the many -lifetime after lifetime !

There are certain revelations, such as recent newer historical facts and fresh approaches into heretofore unfamiliar tracts that alone can give you the full picture to awaken your outdated restricted ideas.
I still find it sad by amusing when is see writers and film makers touting their “all encompassing ” documentaries and research about the world when they have no knowledge of what was and is going on in 75% of world cultures.

It is the unfortunate process of being educated by those who did not fully understand what they were teaching. only rarely does great truth come from Academia. Universities are corporations that will
teach in ways that brings in the most profit! So unless you do a lot of personal inner meditation and
searching, on your graduation day you may not be fully prepared for life in this world!
Paramahansa Yogananda is one of the greatest educators for this 3rd millennium.
It was he who quietly encouraged me to leave the education system half way through grade 12
and educate myself, a long and miraculous story, as I happened to be a top student!

Worse yet, for political, profitability, and other expediencies they were afraid
to teach us the worlds best known truths. Beware of the agendas of the Many!
Even the most professional of teachers can get so comfortable that maintaining a profitable
and secure position in society becomes a trap to which many well intended souls get caught!

Many professors in seminaries are under oath to teach only to teach
the well established ancient doctrines/dogmas of their institutions instead of what they presently know to be the “truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”.
I learned this at an early age in my searching while interviewing several seminary professors.

They admitted that they were under oath to teach only the established doctrines of their church, and could not share a higher wisdom they acquired since they graduated from earlier years.

This became one of my eye opening revelations from seminary priest-professors during my earlier search.
Alas, no harm was done as I had already decided to leave Churchianity and the education system, and opted for home schooling at all education academic levels at an earlier date.
Years later I had the great and good fortune of being personally tutored by one of the 20th centuries greatest teachers. I followed my heart and everything worked out the best possible way!

Paramahansa Yogananda introduced Himself to me in a most powerful way, 6 years after his demise
[the great Mahasamadhi of March 7, 1952.]
He has been teaching me ever since 1958,
Not by any psychic illusions, but personally via His everliving presence.

Once we know our destined Guru, and become properly attuned to His omnipresence,
success in all avenues of life become more and more manifested.

Then you may get to really see how the master is working in my life, as meditation burns my Karma
away with the grace of a true Guru.
