A “Living Guru” works without bring in a live physical body! This will become evident if you follow these teachings.
To the perfected Master the physical instrument is unnecessary. He comes to the advancing devotee in vision or form when the time is right!

Yogananda created the Self-Realization Fellowship/YSS as His sole and uniquely authorized non-sectarian NRM to publish and disseminate the great Babajis teachings of Kriya Yoga as taught to Him by the great ones – Lahiri Mahasaya and Swami Sri Yukteswar. Some persons like to dispute which version of Kriya is most pure, but the fact remains that Yogananda has left us a thoroughly proven system that will take one all the way to cosmic consciousness. Once one becomes a student of SRF Lessons course, nothing else is needed. Everything one will ever need is in the SRF Lessons course as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda is Self-Realization Fellowship. These advanced spiritual SRF Lessons are accompanied by ongoing personal counseling and Kriya Yoga initiations.

Paramahansa Yogananda tells us that; “Self-Realization is the knowing-in body, mind and soul- that we are one with the omnipresence of God; that we do not have to pray that it come to us, that we are not merely near it at all times, but that God’s omnipresence is our omnipresence ; that we are just as much a part of Him now as we ever will be. …… All we have to do is improve our knowing.”

People should become aware that when a review says;
“This review is from: Autobiography of a Yogi
(Reprint of the Philosophical library 1946 First Edition) (Paperback)”
This and any blue covered out of date 1946 editions are mainly from
Crystal Clarity publishers [aka Ananda] and others, and are editions Paramahansa Yogananda
began changing as soon as it was published..do they know better than the Guru?
The orange covered edition [by Self-Realization Fellowship Publishers]
which is now on kindle at $1.99 [2014], is the only complete edition
which clearly represents the final instructions for this SRF book
by Yogananda – as He wanted it. It is the only up to date and complete
edition available anywhere, just as Yogananda had it revised to be.
Now if you don’t like cheap 5mp cameras! -[ you should really try the rebel
series like T7i or 7d.] This is like the difference with the earlier out of
date editions of AY and the newer orange cover Autobiography of a Yogi .
SRF Editions give you the full story, fullest quality, and the best for your money.
The best part of all this is that SRF edition comes with the Guru’s blessings and darshan.
It is in fact Yogananda’s most advanced and complete edition of this book per his wishes!
I fully trust the quality and accuracy of SRF publishers on this book.
These were the people who truly understood these teachings
and remained loyal to Yogananda’s work since his passing in 1952.
Yogananda Himself made many changes to this book from the start…..
If he wanted it to be read as originally printed He wouldn‘t have made any changes.
For persons who are “psychological antiques” it still remains a sacred cow!
The whole SRF editions with orange cover has resulted in a spiritual masterpiece
that is changing the way people see spirituality in the world……

Self-Realization Fellowship meditation groups, circles, and Centres are all part of Paramahansa Yogananda’s world wide spiritual community. The only community he established and recommended for Kriya Yoga devotees and seekers.
Contrary to the claims made by various non-SRF organizations who are attempting to claim that the Master never intended there to be only one organization to represent His work, the master himself disagrees with such a claim. In His sacred writings and talks He clearly states and alludes to the fact that His mission is to create only one source/path for this legacy, initiating and sharing the wisdom and blessings of kriya Yoga world wide. These facts are expressed in well over 100 places in His writings and talks, which He fully deeded in copy write only to His one church – Self Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Sat Sangha to be guided by its elected President.
Various organizations other than SRF are attempting to institutionalize the masters work under their own label, while in the process are changing His teachings and intents to suit their own agendas. Although this expanding of numerous groups making varied claims of authority re His work is very much a part of human nature, it does not concur with the master’s wishes and teachings.
I would caution those who want to work with the path set forth by Yogananda that He
also made clear that there would be no “Guru” to succeed Him in this great work.
When properly understood, a true living prophet does not die as we normally know the term, He continues to work for the freedom and evolution of all devotees of this community. The evidence that this is so has been fully attested by many persons.

Paramahansa Yogananda tells us about the importance of the Self-Realization Fellowship/YSS.
In over 100 places in His writings and talks He emphasizes the importance of all Kriya Yoga devotees keeping a lifelong connection with Mother Center as the representative of the Great Kriya Yoga masters.
This will ensure the right attunement, blessings, and personal growth for the devotee.
He said,”when I am gone, the {SRF} Lessons will be the Guru.”
In a letter in 1935, Yogananda said to James Lynne (Rajarsi Janakananda),” be like the Buddha, love only for God, Self-Realization Fellowship and the Guru’s work, and you will attain Heaven.”
Again in a lecture He says, during a service.
May 2 – On Loyalty “You are in this house of God; and this is your house. You should be proud of the work and loyal to it, that the blessing of God may flow through you. He who is not loyal to his own organization and the work that God has sent is not loyal to God. Though I am so liberal, yet you see I regularly mention only my line of Gurus–Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, and Sri Yukteswar”.

“I am very loyal to my order of Gurus. In this respect I am quite orthodox. It is true that in God all saints are one; but when a particular Guru comes on earth to help other souls, those whom he helps should be loyal to the one whom God has sent to them.
