Read the orange covered edition of “Autobiography of a Yogi “, Self-Realization Fellowship publishers, LA USA. Most recent editions are more up to date than the original 1946 edition. That is why the master made some interesting changes each with each new edition.
But his principles of wisdom needed no corrections.
Changes to later editions were done as per His written and verbal instructions before He passed on in 1952.

There are many genuine reports of how Yogananda has worked with many sincere devotees even after He left the body.

I experienced the phenomena personally. One of these interesting stories is is the story of how Yoganandaji introduced Himself to me posthumously 6 years after His Mahasamadhi. That was in 1958. A story partly covered in another essay on this same site.
However [if still available] there is another beautiful life story of a devotee whose life was clearly assisted by master before and after his Mahasamadhi. His name was Mr Larry Reavis now deceased;

Preparing Humanity for the 3rd millennium, the restored teachings of Jesus and Lord Krishna {known as the Sanatana Dharma} “the Eternal Religion, which is often misnamed as “Hinduism.”
I witnessed many of Yogananda’s miracles in my own life, and the lives of others! In our London meditation circle there have been some healings of bodies, minds, and souls. This is why there continues to grow and ever increasing interest in the great wisdom and life of Paramahansa Yogananda’s life and works and Kriya Yoga in particular.
He is a fordmaker leading the world of true spiritual seekers from dogma to real consciousness transformation, From the narrow exclusiveness of primitive religion to the expanding light of Pluralism!

One can go back now into the worlds great recorded history and see the
attraction of India [the democracy of religions] to so many , many true
seekers of Brahman [the Lord of lords] known by so many names in so
many lands.
India has sustained these truths for all seekers through more than 20 millennia until Paramahansa Yogananda and a few others brought it to the West, and then the rest of the modern world. Yogananda is freeing the world from the darkness of dogmatism and exclusivity; Self-Realization fellowship/Yogoda Sat Sangha is upgrading and unifying world spirituality for the 3rd millennium !
Yogananda showed the world how to balance the progress of technology with the Spiritual Science of Kriya Yoga. It should be added to all education curriculums.
These are the same teachings that Jesus brought to Judea after wandering for 18 years in the East, and for which he was murdered!

This would go a long way to reversing todays epidemic of mental and other social problems of modern times.

Yogananda not only left us a voluminous corpus of wisdom holy writ, but even more than that, He was the most recent example the living Christ in todays world, who walked the streets of America and the world for about 30 years, fully demonstrating the eternal truths of Sanatana Dharma of Holy Bhagavad Gita, as Lord Krishna spoke to us so many ages ago in Holy India.

Yogananda is one of the great 20th century many proofs of the truth of Reincarnation and the efficacy of Kriya Yoga. And of the Gospels.
If you are unaware of all that evidence, don’t knock it ! You might still be a dinosaur.
There is more new data on all this every year, looking for truth is one of life’s most rewarding adventures. As JC is recorded of saying, “We know what we worship.”
It is unfortunate that the last two millennium has witnessed so much violence in the name of primitive, exclusive, politicized, power hungry religious movements and sects. It may take all kinds, but something is clearly failing here, stop trying to convert the whole world to your own darkness. Your violence in the name of some imaginary God is clearly failing to bring peace to this world.
Just as a wise Yogi in India said recently, “by revising a few pages of your book and your future generations will not seek the solutions of violence any longer.” Doing the same thing that never brings peace is not working! If you want to become a great example of Godlike behavior, you must change yourselves soon. Haven’t you have enough of pain, death and destruction of all that you build?>
There is a better way, and it is not your way, or by now there would be
more peace in this world. Look in the mirror of your heart!

All that you have learned from your scriptures, Yogananda lived that life in these modern times, the witnesses are innumerable, reliable, and recent.
